I became Mr. French’s patient in September 2000.
I was referred to him by my G.P. for a hip replacement operation.
Never having to face surgery during my then 60 years of life, I admit that the prospect of
major surgery was daunting.
Mr. French’s professionalism and gentle approach soon erased many of my fears. He
explained procedures clearly and listened to and answered my questions, no matter how
silly some may have sounded.
My artificial hip is perfect . I forget it is there and treat it normally. Two yearly check-ups are
always thorough and valuable, professional advice given. He will most definitely operate on
my left hip when it becomes necessary.
I believe Mr. French is a brilliant surgeon with an excellent Dr/patient relationship. He always
sits at one’s level with eye to eye contact when speaking. This is important to a patient. He
puts one at ease and gives of his time in a generous way.
Mr. French has so much to offer the medical profession; but best of all he has a great sense
of humour.
